MedIntel ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Craveads LLC / Scandinavia Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the MedIntel mobile application ("App").

By using MedIntel, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information

• Email address and password (used to create and authenticate your account via Supabase)
• Full name and profile photo (optional, uploaded by you)
• Role and institution (optional, provided by you)

b) Usage Data

• AI chat history (stored locally on your device and synced to our secure backend)
• Bookmarked articles and saved AI responses
• Drug lookup search history (stored locally on your device)
• Research items and queries submitted through the App

c) Device and Technical Data

• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Crash reports and error logs for debugging purposes
• Push notification token (used to deliver relevant health news alerts)

d) Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by RevenueCat and the respective app store (Google Play). We do not collect or store your credit card or payment details directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your MedIntel account
• To provide personalised AI-powered clinical insights via Meditrina
• To deliver curated medical news briefs and research summaries
• To process and manage your MedIntel Plus subscription
• To send push notifications about relevant medical news (with your permission)
• To improve App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations

3. Third-Party Services

MedIntel integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and file storage
• RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation
• OneSignal — push notification delivery
• OpenAI — AI language model powering the Meditrina assistant (queries are processed via our secure n8n server; we do not share personally identifiable information with OpenAI)
• Serper — web search used to retrieve current medical and insurance information (queries contain drug names only; no personal data is transmitted)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers powered by Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Row-level security policies on all database tables
• Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities

7. Children's Privacy

MedIntel is intended for use by medical professionals, students, and healthcare workers. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

MedIntel provides clinical information for educational and reference purposes only. The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always verify clinical information with current local formularies, guidelines, and your own professional judgement before prescribing or administering any treatment.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via a notice in the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
